In the February 2014 report, I noticed  Gmail made a leap from 3.02% to 10.27% in marketshare from Nov 2013 to Feb 2014. <\/p>\n<div style=\"width:310px; padding:7px 2px 2px 7px; border: 2px solid #cccccc;margin:0 auto;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/freshinbox.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/litmus-gmail-300x61.jpg\" alt=\"litmus-gmail\" width=\"300\" height=\"61\" \/><\/div>\n<p><BR><\/p>\n<p>This is a huge development because it meant that the number of email opens that were tracked increased by 270% over that time period. What were the causes? Did Gmail increase their user base by more than 2X over that time frame? Did Gmail make some changes that affected the market share calculation?
